It's that time of year again... yeap that time for the over commercialized sentiment that is Valentines Day. While this is a lovely time for couples across the world, it is not always the happiest time for singles. So... this one is for you!

This blog post is for all my single ladies whom never had a valentine or don't have one this year. This is for all my ladies whose Valentine comes from loving family members rather than significant others. I'm here to tell you its okay and list some ways in which you can still enjoy the holiday. For all my parents out there reading this please take note to ways to give your single Valentine-less daughters a special day regardless!

Love is patient

Love is kind

Love is more than just a valentine

Its not about couples

Its not about flowers

Its more than just a day

Its about spreading love

The #PRIMPLIFE way

As of now, I am 22 years old and have yet to have ever had a valentine. I used to get sad about this but, I am slowly starting to accept this matter of fact and learn to embrace it. It is not a sign of loneliness nor rejection but, it is just a state of mind on one day throughout the year! That's it one day!!! But.. one thing has kept my spirits up throughout these valentine-less years and that is my parents.

I'm sharing this to say to those that have daughters be there Valentine within their life to help them through this holiday. Ever since I was little my parents would give me Valentine's day gifts (little box of candies, teddy bears, etc.) As I got older my mom stopped giving me Valentines Day gift and my dad would have flowers, candy, or teddy bears delivered to my job, school, or wherever I was at the time. It always warmed my heart. My mom would send me money to order a pizza as she figured I wouldn't feel like cooking and I could keep it all to myself. Mother's knows best.

As I am getting older I have discovered you can still have fun being a single Valentine's! Here are 4 things you can do to celebrate this day!

Go out with your girlfriends and have fun!! Celebrate your independence and accomplishments and eat some good food. Nothing says love like food, fun, and friendship!

Take this time to self care!! Spend the day pampering yourself, whatever that means for you. Shopping, resting, exercising, eating, or even dressing up!! I had a friend that would make herself an expansive meal every Valentine's Day, its okay to treat yourself!

Speaking of dressing up...what better day to get pretty and not for others but, just for you!! This will give a boost to your confidence and everyone will see you slay in pink, red, or white (or whatever color you choose.)!

Last but, not least, send a heartfelt message to those you care about to let them know you appreciate them. You will be surprised the love and blessings

you will receive back.

ATTN PARENTS: For your single daughters, make sure to show them you love them and surprise them with a Valentine's Day gift! You are never to old for a Valentine's Day present from your parents. S/O to my parents for my wonderful gift! I love you all so much!

With that being said, Happy Valentine's Day to all my #Primpgirl fans! My gift to you is a surprise from #PRIMPLIFE! This would be a great gift for any little girl and might I add a wonderful addition to their self esteem!
